Pac West Trailers is seeking a highly self motivated and experienced person to join our service team at our trailer business in the Sacramento area.

Our local dealership has an immediate opening for a Service, Repair Technician, and Fabricator experienced in maintenance and repair of utility trailers with fabrication experience.

Job Title: Utility Trailer Service, Repair Technician, and Fabricator

Employee Type: 15 to 40 hours per week

Part Time to Work into Full Time Position

Industry: Utility Trailer Service, Repair, and Fabrication

Experience: At least five years experience in trailer maintenance and repair and/or training. Must have 1-2 years of fabrication experience with MIG welding.

Compensation: Compensation based on skill level and experience.

Qualifications:

The Repair Technician will be responsible for the safe and proper service and repair of new and used utility trailers. The most important characteristics of the Technician position is having skills required to perform work safely, correctly and efficiently and having a great attitude towards the work involved, our customers and fellow employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

General Duties:

Utility trailer repair, maintenance, inspection, preparation and troubleshooting on new and used trailers, including but not limited to: toy hauler trailers, tent trailers, utility trailers, enclosed trailers, dump trailers, horse trailers, car haulers, tow trailers, race car trailers, aluminum trailers, ATV trailers, landscape trailers, used trailers, new trailers, tilt bed trailers, concession trailers snow mobile trailers, etc.

Duties consist of trailer repairs including but not limited to:

	Bumper to bumper preventive maintenance service and/or repair to trailer.
	Preventive maintenance inspections.
	Electrical trouble shooting, diagnosis and repair.
	Brake system repair.
	Axle bearing packs.
	Tire mounting.
	Responsible for all activities associated with safely operating and caring for a forklift.
	Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner. Must be qualified to properly operate a forklift.

	Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner.
	Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
	Teamwork is essential.
	Practice safe work habits at all times.
	Arrive on time for regularly scheduled shifts with a positive attitude ready to work.
	Expectation is productivity over 80% with 100% efficiency

Requirements:

	18 years of age.
	High School Diploma or GED.
	Valid Driver's License.
	Applicants need to have at least 5+ years of technician experience.
	Must have own tools.
	Ability to operate shop equipment including automated saws, iron workers, and a drill press a must.
	Must have 1-2 years of fabrication experience with MIG welding.
	Must be extremely reliable, have good references and work history
	Must have a neat and professional appearance
	Willingly work all necessary hours and shifts.
	No convictions for Reckless Driving within the past 5 years.
	No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years.
	No suspensions or revocations within the past 5 years.
	No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years.
	No felony convictions.
	No misdemeanors for theft or violence within the past 10 years.
	No misdemeanors for drugs within the past 5 years.
	Background and credit check will be performed after successful interview.
